On International Women's Day 2020, I met with & interviewed some residents from the university women's hostel in Surat, India. I heard their views on the strict curfew imposed on them but not their male peers. They shared their reflections on female friendships in the hostel, and why educating men is an important, but missing component of women's safety in India .
